Project management is an eminently utilitarian and pragmatic discipline. It focuses on results and those processes that facilitate the achievement of such results. It was initially developed in defense and construction, and currently all industries have adopted project management, including mining as well as information and communications technologies.

The Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez, aware of the productivity and competitiveness challenges Chile faces, has accepted the challenge to design and develop a modern Certificate in Project Management (CPM).


  • Successfully implement any project on budget, meeting a pre-defined schedule and achieving required quality standards.
  • Integrally manage a project based on the ten knowledge areas of the Project Management Institute (PMI®): integration, scope, time, cost, procurement, risks, quality, human resources, stakeholders and communications. The topics covered in the program correspond to all chapters of the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK®), the PMI global standard.
  • Manage projects and interact with internal and external customers, understand their needs and offer solutions.
